Smart city lighting specialist Telensa strike up smart waste partnership
Telensa, the world leader in smart street lighting and smart city applications, today announced that it is working with FarSite Communications as a smart city partner to integrate netBin into it’s PLANet dashboard.

The Cambridge based company already controls 1.5 million streetlights worldwide, including one in ten of the UK’s lights. Telensa offer an all in one smart city platform which enables users to monitor and control multiple aspects of a city. netBin has been proven time and time again with worldwide projects benefiting from the reliable and insightful view of their waste collection services.
Telensa is deploying netBin sensors as part of a trial of smart city technologies in Essex and Hertfordshire, that also includes traffic, gully and environmental monitoring.

netBin provides fill level reporting, asset tracking, temperature, tilt and usage statistics. It gives waste managers full visibility over an entire bin fleet regardless of the container type or size.
